Monumental building in Heidelberg
Die Hirschgasse Heidelberg
Within the walls of this monumental building in Heidelberg, statesman Otto von Bismarck once raised his sword as a student and Mark Twain found inspiration for his book "A Tramp Abroad". There are still tangible reminders of the generous history of this special establishment, especially in the hotel's two restaurants. In particular, the Mensurtube, which recalls the duels that were fought one floor up, this is where the student associations of the past are remembered with faded photographs and swords on the wall.
Currently, the Die Hirschgasse Heidelberg hotel is being renovated and will reopen its doors in 2023. You are still more than welcome in the two restaurants.
