Casual luxury in the heart of Gstaad

Hôtel Le Grand Bellevue

In the heart of Gstaad village, Le Grand Bellevue was originally built in 1912 as a cure house and spa. The dynamic young owners Daniel and Davia Koetser re-launched Le Grand Bellevue after a year-long renovation. Chef Francesco De Bartolomeis inspires diners at LEONARD’s restaurant with his sophisticated combination of international haute cuisine and modern bistro style. Treat yourself to expertly hand-rolled sushi and curated salads by Tokyotrained Sushi Master Takehiko Yoshikawa at the Sushi Bar. At Le Petit Chalet, you will be treated to Swiss traditional specialities. The hotel also features an art-deco bar, cocktail lounge, cigar lounge and a private cinema.

Exceptionally varied cuisine

LEONARD's, The Sushi Bar, Le Petit Chalet, Wine Cellar, The Bar, The Lounge, Bar Bonquet

Le Grand Bellevue offers a remarkable choice of cuisine. LEONARD’s serves modern Alpine gastronomy combining local ingredients in a range of exiting dishes. The Wine Cellar and LEONARD'S Cellar offer excellent opportunities for private dining in an elegant setting with a selection of the world's top wines. Back at Le Grand Bellevue, there’s The Bar. In a vintage interior with trendy music, you can enjoy a tasty pasta dish, or choose smaller dishes to share, combined with an excellent cocktail. Stroll through the gardens of Le Grand Bellevue and you’ll come across Le Petit Chalet, an intimate log-cabin restaurant with room for 18 diners, specialising in traditional Swiss dishes. For fantastic Japanese food after an exhilarating day in the mountains, head for the Sushi Bar. In the cocktail lounge and club bouquet, the resident DJ creates a relaxing atmosphere in a décor of extravagant floral fabrics and vintage glamour. Or choose a book from the well-stocked library and take a seat by the crackling fire for afternoon tea in The Lounge.

Reviews

"Hotel life begins in the Lounge, where a roaring fire, board games and a collection of books await. Rarely has there been a better place to drink a hot chocolate and plan a day’s activities."
