Elegance behind centuries-old walls

Kasteel Steenenburg

Originally built as an estate and country residence for noble families, it’s now a stylish hotel with 56 elegant rooms where history, hospitality, and comfort blend seamlessly. The castle offers a variety of room types: from cozy doubles to spacious family suites with connecting doors. Thanks to its location on a large estate with a spacious garden and terrace, it’s a place where you can fully relax. The hotel features several amenities, including a fitness center, a cozy bar, and multiple spaces for meetings or private events. Its central location also makes Kasteel Steenenburg an ideal starting point for hikes, bike rides, or cultural trips to cities like ’s-Hertogenbosch or Tilburg. Whether you’re here for a romantic getaway, a special celebration, or just to escape the hustle and bustle, at Kasteel Steenenburg you’ll experience a unique blend of grandeur, tranquility, and Brabant hospitality.

A culinary tribute to the seasons

Orangerie Steenenburg

In the heart of Kasteel Steenenburg lies Orangerie Steenenburg – a light and elegant restaurant where flavor and history meet. Head Chef Marcel van Berkel, together with Sous Chefs Coen Viguurs and Mitch Damen, shines a spotlight on Dutch cuisine with pure, seasonal ingredients and a creative twist. Here, dishes rooted in tradition are brought to life with modern refinement. From delicate oysters with classic or Asian accents to sunchoke and truffle ravioli, from rich shellfish bisque to barbecued ribeye steak. Classics such as tournedos and dame blanche are given an elegant reinterpretation, while vegetarian creations like risotto with young vegetables and balsamic show the versatility of the kitchen. Each dish is paired with carefully selected wines that enhance and balance the flavors. The wine list reflects the same philosophy as the cuisine: quality, authenticity, and harmony. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with an open kitchen where you can experience the chefs’ passion up close. Personal hospitality and attention to detail make every visit memorable. For special occasions, the Private Dining Room offers an intimate setting for up to 12 guests, while the Chef’s Table provides a unique experience: dining with 4 to 16 guests right next to the kitchen, where dishes are prepared especially for you.
