Contemporary design to discover
Kruisherenhotel Maastricht
In Maastricht city centre, in the former Kruisheren monastery, you will find the Kruisherenhotel Maastricht. A unique place uniting ancient history and design. The comfortable and contemporary rooms are in the 15th century monastery, the gatekeeper’s house and adjacent Casa Nova. The reception, boardrooms, a library and wine bar with ‘aboveground wine cellar’ are situated in the monumental gothic church of the monastery. The modern interior is designed by interior architect Henk Vos and the German lighting artist Ingo Maurer. Every morning, noon and evening you can enjoy various culinary surprises with accompanying wines in the nave of the church, on the mezzanine.
Culinary surprises
Spencer's restaurant & bar
Like breakfast, lunch and dinner are also served in the mezzanine, from where you can enjoy the historical murals and ceiling paintings, enhanced by the church’s beautiful stained glass windows. Contemporary light features seem to float in the air, creating an ethereal atmosphere. The chef offers you a menu full of culinary surprises, while an extensive range of wines is available to complement your meal. In the church’s former choir you will find the wine bar with its remarkable ‘wine cellar’. The many wine bottles are stored and displayed in a stunning glass vault. The bar is open to everyone.
