De Nederlanden Boutique Hotel
This small boutique hotel is located in a historical building from 1680, on the banks of the river Vecht. Located in Vreeland, a small idyllic town centrally located between Amsterdam and Utrecht. Spend the night in one of the 11 minimalist designed rooms and suites that are inspired by Scandinavian and Japanese style. In the restaurant you can enjoy culinary creations at Michelin star level by Wilco Berends, meanwhile his wife Caroline Berends, who has been awarded ‘Hostess of the Year’ by Gault&Millau, runs the hotel and restaurant. In the summer we recommend to take a dip in the river Vecht, use the swimming ladder provided by De Nederlanden to easily get in and out of the water.

Chef Wilco Berends (1 Michelin star) uses only the fairest of ingredients in the preparation of his culinary creations. Thus, the philosophy of the kitchen is central: the ingredients must be of the best quality and from a fair source. Berends uses regional and seasonal products where possible. The basis of his creations is French cuisine with worldwide influences. Assistant - maître Kiki Roelandschap and team do their utmost to find beautiful wines which perfectly match the entire menu.
