Minimalist design

Hotel PURS

The interior of Hotel PURS, with its 11 guestrooms, is the work of the world-famous Belgian designer Axel Vervoordt. With his minimalist approach, he has created timeless spaces with a deep feeling for history. The 17th-century chancellery was built by the prelate of Cologne. All the classic elements, from the slate roofs to the richly decorated plaster ceilings and grand windows, have not only been preserved, but have also gained new stylistic relevance thanks to Vervoordt’s masterful upgrade. If you like good food, wine and culture, you’ll love this wonderful old town on the Rhine. Andernach has rapidly developed into a culinary paradise, with a wide choice of restaurants.

Simple, authentic and regional

Restaurant PURS

The two Michelin starred restaurant is divided from the kitchen by a glass wall, so restaurant guests have front row seats to admire the preparation of chef Yannick Noack's dazzling creations. The focus and complexity of the dishes lies in their simplicity, combined with the use of regional products. Authenticity is the guiding principle with which the international team win their diners’ hearts. The interior by Axel Vervoordt is warm and modern, and provides the calm setting that is crucial to put the emphasis on the food and the company. Besides Restaurant PURS nearby you will find the QL Hotel Am Ochsentor with the authentic Italian Trattoria Ai Pero restaurant. Another member of the same group is YOSO (one Michelin star), where you will find outstanding Asian cuisine.

Reviews

"The hotel’s tasteful, modern Vervoordt design continues in the restaurant, where the eye is immediately drawn to the artworks on the walls and the open kitchen, easily visible through the glazed frontage. Before sampling the fully flavoured food, full of contrasts, diners can enjoy an aperitif in the Weiße Lounge."

"Entrepreneur Rolf Doetsch has gifted his home town with three top restaurants and wisely relied on highly qualified specialists."
