The most beautiful 19th hole in Belgium
Hotel Stiemerheide
Hotel Stiemerheide is uniquely situated in the Limburg Kempen, bordering on the Maasland. The hotel was built in the late 80s in an English cottage style. This charming hotel is one of the most important gateways to the Hoge Kempen National Park. The cottage-style hotel is strategically located at the 18th hole of Spiegelven Golf Club, which is situated on the grounds of the hotel. The golf course surrounds a lake known to locals as ‘the mirror of heaven’. Each hole has a character of its own, and the unforgettably picturesque views in this hilly natural landscape of woods, heathland and water are so varied that you’ll never tire of playing on this challenging course.
The culinary hotspot
Restaurant Kristalijn & Restaurant Corneille
Hotel Stiemerheide has two restaurants, both culinary gems. The Michelin-starred Restaurant Kristalijn is housed in an architectural masterpiece with views of the surrounding countryside and golf course. The clean lines make an elegant contrast with the cottage style of Stiemerheide. From the open kitchen, chef Koen Somers serves dishes to match the seasons. The walls of Restaurant Corneille feature works by the Belgian-Dutch artist and leading light of the COBRA movement from whom the restaurant takes its name. Chef David Van de Reydt serves refined French and Belgian cuisine.

REVIEWS
"De Kristalijn immediately catches the eye. The modern pavilion in which the restaurant is located almost seems to float above the surrounding golf courses. Thanks to the large windows, nature is drawn in. The trendy decor and the designer lighting emphasises the restaurant's chic character. But it is Koen Somers who steals the show in his completely open kitchen."
