Fairy-tale location and excellent service
Landhaus Bärenmühle
This former, partially wooden water mill with its monumental annexes is located on the southern edge of National Park Kellerwald-Edersee. It feels as if time has stood still here. The history of the Bärenmühle goes back to the 16th century. Over the past years the complex has been lovingly renovated and now houses comfortable rooms, suites and apartments. The furnishings in the Bärenmühle include a combination of antique manor style beds and Biedermeier furniture. The whole appears spacious, elegant and rustic.
Regional with a French twist
Restaurant Maison Martron & Bistro Buddenbrock
At Restaurant Maison Martron Joachim Möller's cuisine is regional with a French twist. He sources produce mainly locally, whether it is breakfast or dinner. The honey, for example, is from the Lengel valley. Soft goats’ cheese, eggs and cured ham are from organic farmers, when possible. The vegetables are mainly from the hotel’s own garden, and you can taste the difference. Nearly everything is home made at the Bärenmühle hotel, from gateaux to chocolates. Even the locally brewed beer, brewed in Bad Arolsen, contains no additives. Besides Restaurant Maison Martron you can enjoy small delicacies with French esprit at Bistro Buddenbrock.
Purity of nature
Wellness & Ontspanning
Landhaus Bärenmühle's wellness concept is based on the purity of nature. Whether you visit the "Wellnest" on site of the old henhouse, jump into the large natural swimming pond, dream away in the cosy relaxation room next to the sauna, or sit and relax by the small waterfall and gaze up at the sky. It is the perfect place to unwind.
