WINTER SPORTS AT 6,300 FEET
HOCHFIRST enjoys one of the most sought-after locations in Obergurgl: directly on the slopes. The ski trail begins immediately behind the hotel, where the private access lift connects guests effortlessly to the Festkoglbahn. From there, the entire Obergurgl-Hochgurgl ski area opens up, offering 70 miles of slopes between 5,900 and 10,100 feet above sea level. Thanks to its high-altitude location, Gurgl is one of the most snow-sure ski destinations in the Alps. From mid-November through late April, skiers enjoy long descents, wide-open slopes, state-of-the-art lifts, and spectacular mountain scenery with minimal waiting times. Beginning in 2026, the ski experience becomes even more convenient with a brand-new ski depot located directly beside the slopes, allowing guests to ski straight into the storage area.
