Burghotel Schnellenberg

Stranger don't stay outside

Burghotel Schnellenberg

Burg Schnellenberg Castle, which towers imposingly above the Hanseatic town of Attendorn, is surrounded by 240 hectares of forest and meadows. The history of the castle dates back to the year 1222 and is now one of the best maintained castles in Westphalia. The stylish hotel in a fairytale atmosphere welcomes its guests with open arms as evidenced by the Latin saying 'stranger does not stay outside, my door opens to the travelling ' above the door. The classically furnished guest rooms all have lovely views. The hotel has a spa and a beautiful chapel where weddings are performed. Dine, like the knights of old, under the crossbow vaults or in the romantic courtyard. The menu features a variety of local and international dishes.

Elegant and atmospheric

Restaurant Burghotel Schnellenberg

Elegant cross-vaulted ceilings adorn the dining area where long ago the castle’s knights sat down for their meals. The inner courtyard terrace is also a romantic location for your dinner. Chef René Wacker's excellent cuisine offers a wonderful variety of dishes. You can choose a wine to complement your food from the well-stocked wine cellar. The cosy bar is located in one of the castle’s basements, a vault carried by four pillars. Enjoy the murals with a good glass of wine in your hand.
