We are excited to announce a new selection of discoveries in the lead-up to the launch of the QL Guide 2025/2026. We welcome nine new members, including two familiar names, six fresh discoveries in the Netherlands, and the luxurious Kasteel van Ordingen in Sint-Truiden, Belgium. Earlier this year, we also presented three new members, including Hotel Goldene Rose in the charming Dinkelsbühl, Germany. From historic castles to stylish boutique hotels, each newcomer shares a passion for exceptional hospitality and culinary perfection. With these additions, our handpicked collection grows to 116 independent quality hotels in Europe, 73 of which are in the Netherlands.
A growing appeal
“There is great enthusiasm among independent quality hotels to join our collection,” says Pauline Verhoef, director of Quality Lodgings. According to Verhoef, this stems from QL's shifted focus: “Where Quality Lodgings used to primarily consist of the QL Guide and QL Magazine, we are now investing in greater brand visibility and the connective power of our community.”
Jean-Marc Beaumont, owner of Hotel Beaumont Maastricht, explains: “Our motivation to join QL is the shared passion for authenticity, quality, and hospitality within a wonderful network of independent hotels. We look forward to offering our guests a unique and inspiring experience, inspired by collaboration with other remarkable QL hotels.””
Verhoef adds, “We are a collective by and for hotels, where we strengthen each other and grow together. Word is spreading that we provide benefits for hotels with reputable partners and serve as an extended marketing platform, something that can often be challenging for individual locations to organize. We are particularly pleased to welcome back trusted relationships such as Landgoed Groot Warnsborn and Boutique Hotel Mondragon.”
QL New Discoveries
Here is an overview of the new additions to the Quality Lodgings collection:
Boutique Hotel Mondragon, Zierikzee

WSHS represents traditional hospitality with a golden touch—always with an element of surprise. In the Regentenkamer, comfort fine dining restaurant LIZZ*, and coffee, cocktail & champagne bar COCO, guests' senses are indulged at every moment of the day. Executive chef Remco Kuijpers, responsible for all F&B in the hotel, has his own style that aligns well with LIZZ, which has been awarded a Michelin star and 14.5 Gault & Millau points. This hotel exudes history while offering refined hospitality, fitting the charms of Gouda.

At Restaurant Karel 5*, chef de cuisine Leon Mazairac and sous chef Jent van Cappelle take the lead. Guests can enjoy inspiring (vegetarian) menus and enticing signature dishes, awarded a Michelin star and 16 Gault & Millau points. Brasserie Goeie Louisa honors the rich traditions of the monastery kitchen and provides a ‘casual classic’ atmosphere that is beloved by locals, tourists, and business travelers alike.
