Hotel ML
Haarlem, The NetherlandsWhen the guilder was still legal tender in the Netherlands, the maker of the currency - JOH. Enschedé - was named on all bank notes. The building in which Hotel Restaurant ML is housed was formerly the Enschedé family home. For centuries the printing-office and type foundry were also active there. Among other things, the typefaces with which the notes were printed, were made here. During the remodelling, the architect successfully managed to preserve the authenticity of this historic building whilst at the same time creating a special hotel. The rooms are stylish and modern. Some still have original decorations and ornaments. The hotel is situated in the centre of Haarlem, on the beautiful, authentic Klokhuisplein.
